Boys Middle School Cross Country, Boys Varsity Cross Country · ALL THE WAY TO STATE!


The Varsity Boys Cross Country Team will be heading to state on November 12th after coming in 3rd in the AHSAA 3-A Sectionals in Loxley, Al yesterday.

Tenth grader, Carson Daugherty led the Raiders with a time of 17:38 in the 5-K (3.1 miles) coming in 5th place out of 91 runners in the 3-A division. Gunnar Smith, 8th grader came in 9th with a time of 18:37. Luke Thompson (8th) came in 17th with a time of 19:20. Christopher Tamburin (10th) came in 19th with a time of 19:24. Senior, Nick Dulaney came in 24th place with a time of 19:39. Andrew Tamburin (10th) placed 26th with a time of 20:09. Peyton Sanders (9th) had a time of 20:41, Will Thompson (10th) 20:54, Dalton Mathis (8th) 21:28 and John Connor Daugherty (7th) 22:09.

Houston Academy was the only team that had two 8th graders place in the top 20. This will be the 3rd year in a row the HA Raider boys  have qualified for state with this being the 1st year qualifying as a 3A team.

The Lady Raiders  ended their season with all girls having their best times of the season. New comer, Natalie Janney, 7th grader led the Ladies Raiders with a time of 26:49. Madison Patel (8th) 27:51, Emma Jenne (11th) 29:16, Sarah Kate Egge, (9th) 30:06, and Lydia Gil (8th) 31:13.
